Youth Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Counselors

The Youth Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Counselors of the Youth Board of Cyprus provide free individual counseling and guidance on related matters to young people up to the age of 35.

Our Counselors are able to provide guidance and information regarding the field of entrepreneurship in Cyprus (relevant legislation and programs, both national and European, etc.), and to advise and support the following categories of young people:

  • Young people who may wish to start their own entrepreneurial journey.
  • Young people who are already engaged in entrepreneurial activity and are facing various challenges in their business endeavors.
  • Young people who are interested in applying for, or have already been approved for, a grant under the “Scheme for the Enhancement of Youth Entrepreneurship” of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry. (It should be noted that the Counselors do not undertake the completion of the application, but rather address questions and provide guidance so that young people can complete the application themselves).
  • Young people who wish to be informed about their responsibilities and obligations in relation to the registration and operation of a business, and to resolve queries regarding professional loans, financing, taxation, investments, marketing, sales, human resources, or other related matters falling under the above thematic areas.

All individual sessions are strictly confidential. The number and content of the sessions depend on each individual’s specific needs as well as their level of professional maturity. However, the number of sessions per person may not exceed four (4) annually, counted from the date of the first appointment, and up to two (2) in total for applicants of the “Scheme for the Enhancement of Youth Entrepreneurship” of the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry.

In cases where the interested individuals are minors, parents/guardians may also attend the sessions. Additionally, for individuals living in remote areas or facing other practical difficulties (e.g., mobility issues) in attending meetings in person, sessions may also be conducted online.

Those interested in booking an appointment with a Councelor in their district may call the national telephone number 80002757 daily between 07:30–15:00. Alternatively, appointments can also be booked online via this link.
