European Voluntary Service is part of Erasmus+ Action 1. Young people aged 17-30 years old have the opportunity to offer voluntary unpaid services for a period of 2 to 12 months at a public organization or NGO abroad, operating in a sector of their interest, such us environment, culture, sports and social support.
The volunteer’s accommodation, food and transport expenses, as well as part of the plane tickets cost, are covered by the Program. The volunteer receives a small monthly allowance for personal expenses and can have a language learning course in the hosting organization’s language. In addition, the volunteer is entitled to a collective Erasmus+ insurance plan and a European Medical Card. Any expenses relating to visa issuing and vaccinations are covered by the Program.
Volunteering projects is part of the new EU initiative “European Solidarity Corps”. Young people aged 18-30 have the opportunity to offer voluntary unpaid solidarity services for a period from 2 to 12 months at public organizations or NGOs in their country or abroad.
